Summary: Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father--the one responsible for ruining her mother's life. Then she's captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unholy partnership.
In exchange for finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. She's amazed she doesn't end up as his dinner--are there actually good vampires? Pretty soon Bones will have her convinced that being half-dead doesn't have to be all bad. But before she can enjoy her new found status as kick-ass demon hunter, Cat and Bones are pursued by a group of killers. Now Cat will have to choose a side . . . and Bones is turning out to be as tempting as any man with a heartbeat.

This book was highly recommended to me by several people. I'm so glad I took their advice and read this book. It was amazing. I loved it from beginning to end. The characters are great. Cat is a young, feisty half-vampire with a grudge.  She is on a mission to kick-butt. I loved her attitude and humor. Her relationship with her mom bothered me a bit but I think it made her a stronger person. Bones is my new book boyfriend. It's true. He is a great character. Besides being drop dead (literally) gorgeous, he is also witty, romantic and a charming assassin. If that's not enough, he's also British. Bones and Cat's chemistry together was wowzers! They team up together, against Cat's better judgement, to pursue very dangerous bad guys. Cat has to learn to overcome some obstacles both physically and mentally and learn to trust. The storyline was exciting. It's full of action and romance. I really didn't want to put this book down once I started reading it. The ending made me want to pick up the next book right away! It was a definite win for me.

  1. Welcome to Team Bones. Although my favourite character from the series is introduced in the third book, can't wait until you get there.
