Dear Friends,
As most of you are probably aware, tornadoes plagued the south last week. On Wednesday April 27, 2011 my town was hit hard by a tornado. My family and I made it through the storm and shockingly so did our home. We had some trees and branches down but that's all. Some of our friends and family were not as fortunate. Many homes, schools and businesses were destroyed by this devastating act of nature. However life goes on and so must we. Our town in now in recovery and clean up mode. Electricity is slowly being restored throughout our area. We finally got ours turned back on a few hours ago. This last week has been hard and emotional for all of us. The next few weeks will be a challenge as we try to bring our city back to life. I am grateful for all the people working hard to help us do that. It's been a humbling experience to see humanity at its best.
I hope you will join me in turning your thoughts and prayers to the victims of these storms. Over 200 people in my state lost their lives on Wednesday. I also want to thank everyone for their well wishes and concern during this time. It was very much appreciated.
Due to the extenuating circumstances last week, I didn't get the chance to participate in the giveaway blog hop, post reviews or memes. I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. Also if you have sent me an email, I'll try to respond as soon as I can. This may take awhile right now, but I will respond. Thank you for your understanding.
