8 Grimm, Once Upon A Time and Neverland

Last Friday was the premiere of Grimm on NBC. I have to say I didn't fall in-love with it. There are aspects of the show that I did like. For instance, I thought the reformed big bad wolf was a great addition. I kinda like the detective story aspect to it but I didn't really fall in love with any of the characters. I usually watch a new show a few times before I make the final decision of weather or not to keep watching. So Grimm has at least two more weeks to impress me. My new favorite series is Once Upon A Time. I absolutely love the first and second episode. I love the flashbacks between fairy-tale land and present day. I was a little concerned that it might lose it's fizzle after the first episode but I'm still loving it. I can't wait until this Sunday night. Click here to visit the official site.

A few nights ago I watched a commercial for Neverland. It's a mini series that's coming to SyFy in December. I'm so intrigued by this. Peter Pan is one of my favorite fairy tales. I can't wait until December. To learn more about this show check out this trailer and website.

What are your thoughts? Do you like Grimm? Once Upon A Time? Will you check out Neverland?

  1. I finally got a chance to watch the first episode of ONCE UPON A TIME last night! I thought it was pretty good, but I'm not madly in love with it yet. I thought it was interesting Once Upon A Time and Grimm came out at the same time, considering the similar premise.

Neverland could be interesting. I loved Tin Man.

  2. @Sarah, I thought the same thing. I also really like Tin Man. I missed it when it originally premiered and I'm kicking myself for it. I hope Neverland will be as good.

  3. Grimm left me sort of cold. The best is the detective aspect. The main actor just seems to have one expression with his eyes wide open and vacant.

I like the contemporary scenes of OUAT, but some of the fairy land scenes are a bit slow. I didn't see what was coming last week with old Henry which was good.

  5. @Anne, I agree with you on the MC of Grimm. I was also surprised about the turn of events in OUaT.

@Melissa, The next few weeks will be very telling for these shows. Grimm was definitely darker than OUaT. I like that about it.

  6. I love Once Upon a Time. I want to see Grimm but I work at the showing time and I can't record it.

I want to see Neverland, I love Peter Pan as well. Dang it for being on Syfi I don't have that channel, I guess I will just have to wait for it to come to DVD. I'm going to see it! Thanks for showing it.

  7. @Kristina, You'll probably be able to get it on DVD after it premieres. That's what I did w/ Tin Man. It's actually better b/c you don't get commercials.

  8. I've only watched the first episode of Grimm and Once Upon a Time... and honestly, I was a little disappointed in BOTH of them. If I had to choose I think I enjoyed Grimm more. I thought Once Upon a Time was cute, I really don't have any complaints, it just didn't grab me like I hoped.

Thank you so much for telling us about Neverland! I LOVE Peter Pan so I must watch this series. Can't wait!
