0 Q&A with Esther Wheelmaker

1. Describe your book in three words.
Superheores, zombies, voodoo.

2. What exactly is 'zombiepunk'?
Fun story. I needed a series name and the main paranormal creature is a zombie. So I put up a post on FB. Got a few different responses, but because this is a Steampunk book one author friend recommended “zombiepunk”. It was love at first sight. ::wink::

3. How many books do you have planned for this series?
At least four since it’s not a trilogy. I’m waiting to see where the characters take me and what they have planned. Book two is under way so I know there is at least that!

4. Which character did you have the most fun writing? why?
I would have to say Emily was lots of fun. She is quick witted and doesn’t seem to care how nasty the comment is as long as she protects her best friend Lucy. She is loyal and it comes across well in the writing.

5. I have a irrational fear of zombies. What advice could you give me on how to survive a zombie Apocalypse?
Use the double tap and start your cardio training now! Lmao.

6. Who would you want to be on your zombie survival team?
V is for Villains (the band that stars in the book), Carlos Santiago, Aeron and Lucy.

7.What is the best book you've read so far this year?
The Art of War For Writers. I love this book! I am always re-reading it.

8. What author would you love to meet in person?
Tamora Pierce. She is the one who inspired me to start writing books and I can never say enough thank you’s for that.

9. What is your favorite summer activity?
Writing. ::blush:: what should I say? LoL. The beach is great tho. I love traveling during the summer.

10. What do you do when you're not writing?
I try to sew and make my own costumes, exercise, play with the kids (dog and cat), hang out with friends, day trips, movies, circus exercising, think up new ways to do hands on research, symphony, museums, read…all the normal stuff everyone does.

Gravely Inanimated is available at Barnes and Noble and Amazon. To find out more about the author visit http://www.zombiepunkseries.com/
