Haunted by recurring dreams of past sorrows in which she relives the episode of her last encounter with her lover, Iara learns the truth behind a dark secret buried in the past. A secret protected by the immortal beauty of a sacred rose whose very essence is preserved by the faithfulness of a promise now forgotten. A promise which, if broken, would lead to horrifying consequences.
This book looked really interesting when I read the summary. I read it hoping that I would love it but I didn't. It just wasn't my cup of tea. There were aspects of the book that I did like. I really like the concept of this book but at times I felt lost. I did like Iara, the main character, she had some spunk to her and Lord Kessler is dark and mysterious. The mystery presented in this book kept me turning the pages, mostly because I was trying to figure out what was happening. I think the author could have described and elaborated on the scenes a bit more. This book wasn't for me, but it might be for you.
