Sunday Confessions Dec 5, 2010
This is a weekly meme started by yours truly as a way to get to share a bit about myself and also learning more about you. Sometimes its about books and book related topics and sometimes it's not. This is all in good fun and I would love it if you would participate.
I love this time of year! In addition to bringing out all our holiday decorations we also pull out our favorite holiday movies. We make a goal to watch as many of them as possible during the Christmas season. Here is a listing of my all time favorites:
What are your favorite holiday movies?
How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Muppet's Cristmas Carol, White Christmas (Bing Crosby), and A Boyfriend for Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteScrooged with Bill Murry is one of mine and of course Chevy Chase in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is a must watch every holiday!
ReplyDeleteIt's A Wonderful Life prefer the B&W version....
Our all time favorite came out in 2003, Billy Bob Thornton's "Bad Santa" just for the sake of all that is raunchy and silly Marcie....
jackie >_<
Love love LOVE the Grinch. The cartoon that is. The Jim Carrey movie was good but it took me a long time to stop being creeped out by the way the Grinch looked. I agree with Jackie, Bill Murry's Scrooged is another good one.

Paranormal Haven
My husband and I like watching Elf together. I like having the old Christmas cartoons on, Charlie Brown, etc. But, for myself, I like White Christmas, It's A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, really anything Christmas I will have it on. Never heard of A Boyfriend for Christmas...need to look into that one!
ReplyDelete@Jackie I forgot about Scrooged. That's a great movie.
ReplyDelete@A Tale of Many Reviews I love Elf also. My kids love it too!
@ketch 1714 Muppet's Christmas Carol was one of my favorites growing up.
@Paranormal Haven Jim Carrey as the Grinch used to scare my son. It wasn't until a few years ago that we were finally able to watch it. LOL
The movie images in the post pretty much sum up my must-see movies. If you want to see a really awesome movie, try The Shop Around The Corner with Jimmy Stewart. This is the movie that was remade as You've Got Mail with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. Such a great flick!
ReplyDeleteAwh! How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a must :) Here's my Sunday Confessions → http://booksoverboys.blogspot.com/2010/12/sunday-confessions-december-5th-2010.html
ReplyDeleteScrooged, A Christmas Carol both the George C Scott and Patrick Stewart Versions, and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!
ReplyDeleteI love the original Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman, Frosty Returns. I also enjoy The Santa Clause and... well, I can't think of any more :) But I'm sure there are others!
