Interview with Zakiya from Butterfly Feet Walking on Life plus What's Your Status?
Zakiya from Butterfly Feet Walking on Life has a fantastic meme. In this meme you post your status of the books your reading this week, books you finished this week, books you're going to read next, and books you plan on buying this week. You can also post what reviews and memes you participated in for the week.
Today I have something a little different. Today I'm interviewing the host of What's Your Status, Zakitya from Butterfly Feet Walking on Life. She also interviewed me on her blog so be sure to go check it out. Without further ado here it is:
1. When did you start blogging and why?
---A: I started blogging on July 7, 2010; I remember that a month before, I was asked to join For the Love of Reading, ikissbooks.blogspot.com. I was thrilled and instantly loved it! And thus, I decided to make my own blog :)
2. How did you come up with your blog name?
---A: I was initially very undecided on what my blog's name should be. So I asked one of my close friends. She actually came up with it. Thank you, Elyssa! :D
3. Do you have a favorite author?
---A: I don't really have a favorite author. Maybe ones that are high on the list, but I don't consider them my favorites. Stephenie Meyer, , Lisi Harrison, and L.J. Smith all top the list for sure.
4. If you could take only three books with you on vacation, which books would you take?
---A: I always have a hard time with questions like this.. I think I would take Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling, and Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer. Although now that I think about it, I would probably just cheat and take my Kindle. LOL! by Cassandra Clare,
5. List five things that are on your desk right now.
---A: I don't actually use my desk, as my creative dad made it where it can be let down. So I obviously have to stack everything on my nightstand or my dresser; usually my nightstand. Five things on it right now are Falling Under by Gwen Hayes, my TV remote, my reading lamp, my book quote folder, and sadly, my alarm clock. :)
6. Do you have a book crush? If yes, who is it?
---A: My ultimate book crush is Jace from Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments series. He's always so . . . so poised. Yet, he can be so free-spirited all at the same time. Plus, he's hot. Everyone loves a hot guy, right?
7. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
---A: I don't eat ice cream very often (I know, sad), but when I do it's either vanilla or cookies & cream :)
8. If you could be transported into any book, which book would you choose?
---A: I have always wanted to be transported into the Harry Potter series. As for which book out of the series, I would say . It seems to be one of the happiest in Harry's seven years there, and I would love to witness the Triwizard Tournament!
9. What do you do when you're not reading?
---A: When I take a break from reading, I might get on Facebook or YouTube. Usually, there isn't a moment when I'm not either reading or on the computer. Even while I'm reading, I'm listening to music, texting, and/or eating.
10. Where can people find you?
---A: I am always available at my personal email, massiekurhatesu(at)gmail(dot)com, or the blog's email, walkingbutterflyfeet(at)gmail(dot)com. Either one is fine. Some other places are Shelfari , Twitter , Facebook, and GoodReads.
Thank you Zakiya for answering all my questions. Don't forget to stop by her blog and check it out.
