Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

This week's teaser comes from Vampire Empire Book Two: The Rift Walker by Clay Griffith and Susan Griffith. This is from an arc so the quote might not be the same as in the finished copy.
