Teaser Tuesday October 11, 2011
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week's teaser is from Caroline Bingley by Jennifer Becton.
"Banished. The word echoed through Caroline Bingley's mind with each beat of the horses' hooves, and she felt the stab of her own mortification with each bone-jarring jolt of the hired carriage in which she was imprisoned."
This is the first two sentences in Caroline Bingley. I'm about half way through this novel and I'm loving it.
That's my teaser for this week, what's yours?
That does sound interesting. I'm glad you are enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteMy teasers this week are from Eve by Anna Carey and Mercury Rises by Robert Kroese. Happy reading!
I luv those carriages in Historical fiction. I get the feelings she's in trouble. "Imprisoned."
ReplyDeleteGreat teaser! Makes you wonder she did to get banished!
