Summary (from Good Reads):
Spencer Lark already knows too many secrets about Arizona Storm, including the nightmare she survived and her resulting trust issues. But in order to expose a smuggling ring—and continue avenging his own tragic past—the bounty hunter reluctantly agrees to make Arizona a decoy. Yet nothing has equipped him for her hypnotic blend of fragility and bravery, or for the protective instincts she stirs in him.
Arizona wants to reclaim her life, which means acting as bait to lure the enemy into a trap. Sure it's dangerous, especially with a partner as distractingly appealing as Spencer. But as their plan—and their chemistry—shifts into high gear, Arizona may discover there's an even greater risk in surrendering her heart to a hero...
A Perfect Storm by Lori Foster is the fourth book in The Men Who Walk The Edge of Honor series. I have not had the opportunity to read the first three books yet. However that wasn't a problem. I was able to keep up with the story line. If you're like me and haven't read the previous books, you can pick this one up and not feel lost in the story.
Spencer and Arizona are the couple this book focuses on. Spencer is still hurting from the tragic loss of his wife. Arizona has a heart-breaking past of her own. She doesn't trust anyone and rightly so. Arizona is brave and has good instincts. Spencer is used to being in control. He feels very overprotective of Arizona. She partners up with Spencer to try to take down a smuggling ring.
Arizona has a great personality. Despite everything that's happened, she is a fighter. That is a strong appeal to her character. Spencer and Arizona have great chemistry together. They humorously banter back and forth quite a bit. The story line in A Perfect Storm is really exciting. It has a lot of action and suspense. Overall it's a good story. I would absolutely check out the other books in this series as well.
