Goodreads Summary:
When Alva receives an invitation from a man offering his services as a Time Tutor, she doesn’t know what to think: Is he a time traveler or a charlatan? And does it really matter, when he is so devilishly attractive? The Time Tutor is a fast-paced romantic prequel to Bee Ridgway’s acclaimed novel, The River of No Return.

My thoughts:
The Time Tutor is a prequel to The River of No Return.  Don't worry if you haven't read The River of No Return yet. Though reading The Time Tutor will definitely make you want to read it!

The Time Tutor is the story about Alva. She has the power to travel through time, though she doesn't have the know-how. Alva takes up with the illustrious Hannelore in hopes that she'll divulge her time-traveling secrets.

Unfortunately,  Alva and Bertram (another of Hannelore's Favourites) are called upon to search out a spy in the midst. And that spy could be either one of them. Things get a lot more complicated when Alva meets someone who calls himself the Time Tutor. He has a trick or two up his sleeve as well. As much as they are wrong for each other, their attraction can not be denied.

For a short novella, this story was packed full of action. I was so engrossed by this book, that I finished this book before I knew it. I love getting to 'know' these characters. Alva is ambitious and smart. At times I wasn't sure if I liked her or not. This book could have been 300 pages longer and it wouldn't have bothered me at all. I was sad to say goodbye to them in the end. But have no fear, these characters make an appearance in River of No Return.  If you're curious about this author, this would be a great introduction! I promise you, you will be hooked!
