Series: The Cavensham Heiresses, Book #5
Genre: Historical Romance
Raised on a remote Scottish estate by her adoring grandfather, Lady Theodora Worth has inherited an earldom as well as the land itself. But when an upstart duke challenges her claim to the title and the Ladykyrk estate, Thea is suddenly in need of a husband—in name, at least. An elderly neighbor with a thoroughly modern sensibility and a dashing great-nephew just might be the answer to Thea’s prayers. Except she has no intention of marrying the first man she meets. That would be utterly ridiculous.
It just can’t be him. . .
Lord William Cavensham is entirely too devoted to his family’s estate—ever since he was jilted as a lad--to wed, but he agrees to meet the woman his aunt has taken under her wing—and introduce her to possible suitors. But after just one meeting with beautiful, spirited Thea, Will is determined to help her reclaim her title. And even moreso, he can’t stop thinking that perhaps marriage to this bold, passionate woman may be the one thing he’s been missing all along?

*I received a copy of this book via Netgalley for review purposes only. This in no way influenced my opinion.
Rogue Most Wanted is the first book I've read in The Cavesham Heiress series by Janna MacGregor. In fact, Janna MacGregor is a new-to-me author. I've been in the mood for historical romances lately, and this book fit the bill. Rogue Most Wanted is a sweet story about two characters who are so right for each other, but they don't see it until it's almost too late.
Lady Theodora Worth has spent the last few years caring for her ill grandfather. After he passes away, she finds out that her title is being challenged, so she's advised to marry and marry fast. Only, she doesn't want to marry for anything other than love. She confides in her neighbor, Stella, to help her come up with a solution. The ever-clever Stella comes up with a solution--Theodora should marry her nephew Lord William Cavensham.
William (Will) has been jilted in the past and has no desire to be again. He's sworn off love. However, his loving but scheming aunt has something else in mind. He reluctantly agrees to at least meet Theodora. After their first meeting, Will agrees to help Theodora and to become friends instead of all that romance nonsense. But some of the best relationships bloom out of friendship.
"There’s one creed all Cavensham men subscribe to: they fall in love completely and decidedly." I so like this creed. And that's what this book exemplifies. The whole Cavensham family is nothing but sweetness. I even love the meddling auntie. Will and Theodora are adorable. They start out as friends and slowly fall in love.
Overall, I found this book charming. It's well-paced and a fun read. And definitely another book to add to your tbr list!
